Kehlani and her ex-boyfriend Javaughn Young-White have addressed reports about alleged abusive behavior that led to a restraining order.
Their dramatic custody battle took a turn on Tuesday, August 13, after TMZ reported that the “After Hours“ singer got a temporary restraining order against Young-White. According to legal documents, Kehlani claimed the father of their daughter, Adeya Nomi, crashed through her locked bedroom door during an argument in June. The argument began after Kehlani asked Young-White about an alleged application for public assistance. Her ex also called the singer a “b***” and a “liar” before he was eventually kicked out of the home.
Young-White also allegedly blamed Kehlani for the birth of their child. He claimed he was “trapped” and that she “ruined” his life. In the legal documents, the singer claimed Young-White smoked weed and ate magic mushrooms while he lived in her back house. She said their daughter would spend time with her dad in the space and reeked of weed when she came back. She argued Young-White put their child at risk whenever he’s high. After the reports went viral, Kehlani released a statement and said she never made a statement to TMZ about the situation.
“I did not make a statement nor did I go to TMZ about my business,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
The legal documents appear to be in response to previous allegations Young-White reportedly made about the singer earlier this month. Adeya’s father claimed Kehlani was involved in a sex cult and allowed people from the group to care for the five-year-old child. Both Kehlani and Young-White refuted the claims and alleged that outlets like TMZ sensationalized the story.
Javaughn Young-White also spoke out after the latest allegations surfaced. He took to his Instagram Story and claimed Kehlani was the abusive one. Check out all the receipts he posted below.
